A major milestone for lower-carbon cement production: the opening of the Catch4Climate (CI4C) project in Mergelstetten. Linde Engineering was proud to showcase its CO₂ Purification Unit (CPU), a key technology that transforms CO₂-rich process gas into high-purity liquid CO₂. Robert Eichelmann, Senior Vice President Region EMEA, shared insights into the innovation and collaboration behind this pioneering project. "Linde's CPU is the final piece of the Pure Oxyfuel puzzle. Combined with the kiln, it enables a highly efficient carbon capture process. We thank our partners in the CI4C consortium for their trust and collaboration.
