First Class Graduate from Durham University

I’m delighted to share that I have graduated from Durham University with a First Class Honours in Liberal Arts, specialising in Philosophy, English Literature and Classics. I am particularly proud of my dissertation, ‘Compelled Complicity: Feminist Ethics and Responsibility in the Fast-Fashion Economy,’ which received 75% and argued that global supply chains implicate ordinary consumers in structural injustice. I’m deeply grateful to my supervisor, Simona Capisani, PhD, who inspired me to bring my passions for feminism, environmentalism and global injustice into direct conversation with my academic work. That thread — gender and environmental justice — has shaped my extracurricular life: as Outreach Officer for Durham University Sustainable & Ethical Fashion Society (DUSEF), Social Media Co-Ordinator for Durham University Against Sexual Assault and Sustainable Fashion Director for Walk On Charity Fashion Show, alongside performing roles in the Durham University Charity Fashion Show and Collingwood College Woodplayers Theatre Company. I am extremely grateful for the wonderful people I met and the experiences I had as a member of these Durham societies. This September, I’ll be starting the LLM in Law and Gender at SOAS University of London, working toward a career in human rights, feminist and environmental advocacy and law. Thank you to my family, friends, and professors for an unforgettable three years at Durham!
