What do you see in this video? Let me share what I see: An engineering professor (me), a profissional musician on the ukulele (Nino Coutinho), and five engineering students giving their very best to deliver an amazing performance - Izabella Moreira, Samuel Abreu, Johw Pereira, Ernesto Borges e Pedro Henrique. And it is important to mention that there were many dedicated professionals working behind the scenes to make this moment possible. Their contributions may not appear in the video, but they were essential to its success (Vitória Lourenço, Glauber Zerbini Costal and many others). This moment was made possible by Lab Mus at Universidade Federal de Itajubá – Itabira Campus. A place I’ve been visiting more often this year, and one that has truly impressed me. At Lab Mus, art is not just a STEAM component. Art is everywhere. And it plays a central role in shaping the education and personal growth of our students/artists.
