Continuous mmWave and THz synthesis on a chip! A new publication in Nature Photonics by Jizhao Zang and colleagues introduces a wide-band synthesizer using dual silicon nitride microresonator-soliton photomixing. This chip-scale system generates highly stable signals from DC to beyond 1 THz.
