We recently hosted our annual 1st Choice Supplier Summit at The RDS. The event combined sustainability and business topics, covering areas such as customer insights, the current economic climate, sustainable innovation, and urgent climate action. These topics were brought to life by an incredible line up of speakers. Dr. Norah Patten gave a keynote on the power of bold thinking and the moonshot mentality, followed by an insightful session on macroeconomic trends from Danny McCoy and a panel featuring Ivan Ryan, Rhys McClenaghan, and Eleanor Meade FCCA CTA exploring how Lidl brings value to everyday life. Sustainability remained a core focus. Tom Cumberlege, Tony Murphy, and Brian Minehane ¦ Sustainability ¦ ESG ¦ Strategy ¦ IT discussed environmental impact and the business benefits of adopting sustainable practices, while Zoe Kavanagh shared insights on circularity and packaging regulation. In the afternoon, we held a series of workshops focusing on the supply chain, Lidl Plus, quality, and sustainability. Jo Linehan hosted a session on simplifying sustainability communications, and Derarca Dennis mapped out the future of global sustainability standards.
