Starting as a District Manager with initial training at Lidl Ireland, she has since grown through sales and purchasing roles to her current role as Sales Operations Director at Lidl Lietuva. She vividly remembers the Dūkštų Street store opening in Vilnius in June 2016. During a hot summer day, many customers stood in line waiting to buy ice cream when the cash registers broke down. Eglė decided to act immediately and let everyone at the checkout leave without paying. "I wanted to make sure we don’t risk our first impression, even though it costs us money. My manager understood and even thanked me for caring for our customers."
