The 13th April marks a significant milestone in Australia’s Deaf history—the publication of the first Auslan (Australian Sign Language) dictionary in 1989. On Auslan Day, we recognise and celebrate the rich language, culture, and community of Deaf Australians. It’s an opportunity to highlight the importance of Auslan as a living language, and to acknowledge the vital contributions of the Deaf community across Australia. Happy Auslan Day from our team!
