Treatise on "Maritime Law" (by A. Antapassis/L. Athanassiou) just published! So pleased to announce the release of the Treatise on “Maritime Law” by Antapassis/Athanassiou [in Greek] with the collaboration of M. Antapassis and M. Konstantinidis. This title examines in depth from a modern perspective, including material recent developments, the following: general introduction of maritime law, its historic routes, sources and correlation with other fields of public and private law, the definition of vessel and analysis of all kind of ships’ mortgages and liens; arrest of ships, the notion and content of the exploitation of vessels, including charterparties and carriage of goods and passengers by sea; all limitation of liability and pollution regimes (LLMC, CLC, HNS, Bunker). At the end a unique chapter is devoted to EU Maritime Law. The detailed analysis describes the pertinent law provisions, contained either in Greek Law or International Law conventions, as applied domestically and internationally, as well as their application by the courts in all major jurisdictions (UK, France, USA, EU, etc). This book serves as an important reference for lawyers, academics, and a host of shipping professionals. An English version is under preparation.
