Today, Carla Pedro, Plant Manager at Lhoist Lusical in Portugal, reflects on the power of curiosity and learning through experience. “Embrace curiosity, explore boldly, and remember that there are never right answers, only possibilities waiting to be discovered.” Along her journey, Carla learned that asking questions doesn’t reveal weakness; it opens doors. Many of the best solutions she has been part of started with a simple conversation and the courage to ask. Progress usually comes from learning, adjusting, and trying again. Collaboration has been equally essential. Working with diverse teams - especially in new or challenging environments - showed her how much faster we grow when we share doubts, ideas, and perspectives. And looking back, even the small failures that once felt overwhelming became key steps in building confidence and capability.
