𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚'𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 Malaysia’s food waste challenge requires more than awareness, it requires a clear, workable regulatory framework.   In a recent interview with The Star, our Partner, Andreanna Ten, shared her views on how a dedicated food waste law in Malaysia could be designed to drive meaningful change while remaining practical for businesses. Andreanna highlighted that mandatory measurement, record-keeping and reporting should be the starting point, as effective regulation depends on reliable data. She also emphasised that the law should be carefully calibrated, focusing first on large food waste generators such as supermarkets and hotels, while avoiding disproportionate compliance burdens on SMEs.
