Meet Yinan “Ina” Shen, our Senior HR Manager for North Asia, who leads HR topics across mainland China and supports key regional projects.    When we asked what she enjoys most about her role, Ina shared that while her work involves labor law, OKRs, and all six HR modules, the reality is that she’s often “80% therapist, 20% detective, and 10% neighborhood busybody.”    We also asked what people often get wrong about Shanghai. Many expect mild winters - but the city’s cold, humid, and rainy season 🌧️ (paired with no central heating!) proves the opposite.    A fun fact about Ina: she’s been able to spot lies since childhood. “Very useful in interviews,” she laughs, “especially when someone says they left a job for ‘personal growth.’”    Her most embarrassing career moment came when she accidentally invited the wrong candidate - same name, different person - and still delivered a full 45‑minute interview like everything was perfectly planned 😅.    And one surprising aviation fact she recently learned: commercial aircraft are struck by lightning⚡several times a year, but thanks to smart engineering, passengers barely notice.   Ina is one of the many unique personalities who make our global LGBS community so special - proof that across every country, culture, and time zone, there’s always another great story waiting to be told. 🌍
