[Von Willebrand Disease | Building Hope Together] ♀️ To mark the International 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏’𝒔 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉, we want to give a voice to women living with von Willebrand disease (VWD). Because of its bleeding manifestations, this rare disorder can impact every stage of a woman’s life.   🔎 A 30 year old woman living with type 1 VWD shares her journey through years of diagnostic uncertainty. She also speaks about her experience as both a patient and a mother of two children who are also affected by the disease. She ends on a hopeful note, emphasising the impact of better recognition of the disease.   ✅ Her message to other women living with VWD: “Trust your medical team, and continue to live as normally as possible.
