Honoring Juneteenth: A Call to Reflect, Celebrate, and Engage Juneteenth, observed each year on June 19, marks the end of slavery in the United States and stands as a powerful reminder of the ongoing pursuit of freedom, justice, and equity. At Lesley, we recognize Juneteenth as a university holiday and an opportunity to reflect, learn, and honor this history. The University will be closed for students, faculty, and professional staff in observance of the holiday. We invite our community to join the City of Cambridge for the 5th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Day Parade and Celebration. The parade begins at 10 am at Massachusetts Avenue and Pleasant Street, followed by a celebration at Riverside Press Park from 10:30 am to 3 pm featuring music, food, performances, and family friendly activities.
