Physical AI & Robotics | Exploring where value is emerging

Do robots need legs? Walking like us…? Yesterday, Sunday Robotics, founded by Tony Z. Zhao, Cheng Chi, launched Memo — a home robot that can make espresso, clear dishes, even load the dishwasher. Unlike Figure, 1X or XPENG No humanoid legs. Just a wheeled base. Legs are great for an unpredictable world — uneven terrain, debris, rubble, disaster zones — But, most homes don’t look like that. Legs are incredible feats of engineering, But, they’re also: - harder to develop - more expensive to manufacture - more fragile to maintain - and far slower to scale Is it perfect? No — a wheel-only solution will struggle in some homes with stairs or complex floor layouts. But, serving 80% of households is big enough Maybe the question isn’t “When will robots walk like us?” Maybe the real question is “What lets robots help us sooner?” What do you think — do robots really need legs? #Robotics #PhysicalAI #Humanoids #EmbodiedAI #Home #Sunday
