How do you give a classic game a completely new experience? ☄️ Inspired by the familiar game of air hockey, Meteor Madness explores how digital technology can add a new layer to gameplay. Think of puck tracking, projections, animations and personalised audio that respond in real time to what's happening on the table. As part of his graduation project, Tijn Mestrom developed the concept from the first idea into a solid foundation for further development. Through prototyping, player research and testing, he explored how technology can strengthen the experience without losing the simplicity that makes air hockey so much fun. Meteor Madness will become part of The Comeback Games, where physical games are enhanced with digital interaction, lighting, sound and immersive visual effects.
