[MOE Promotion Ceremony 2026] On 22 April 2026, I had the privilege of attending the MOE Promotion Ceremony and I was deeply honoured to be recognised for my work by Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE). Teaching and leadership are not something that I walk alone so this recognition feels like a reflection of the many people who have shaped, supported and journeyed with me along the way who have all contributed to my growth in one way or another. The promotion was a personal milestone but more importantly, I had the chance to see many peers being promoted as well. As I looked around the room, I was reminded that behind every promotion is a story of quiet commitment, hard work and care. So many educators are doing good work in their respective schools each day - planning lessons, leading teams, supporting colleagues and making a difference in the learning and lives of students. The ceremony was a reminder that while recognition is important, what is more meaningful is the purpose behind the work and the impact we have on the people we serve. In education, some of the most important outcomes cannot always be measured easily - a student who grows in confidence, a colleague who feels supported, a team that moves forward with greater clarity as well as a school culture that becomes stronger because teachers chose to give their best. Personally, this milestone also prompts me to pause and reflect on the kind of leadership I want to grow in - someone who leads with humility, purpose and a strong sense of responsibility. I will always remember that leadership in a school is ultimately about creating better conditions for teaching, learning and growth. I am proud to be part of a profession where the work we do each day can shape both learning and lives. #Education #EducationalLeadership #Gratitude #ProfessionalGrowth #Leadership #Recognition
