'Fraud is rampant. Why are we not more upset by this?' This was a question thrown at me by the one and only David Birch at Money20/20 a couple of weeks ago. Dave's questions have a way of staying with you. So. Today #LedaWrites about fraud in the era of agentic commerce: where threats abound and whose responsibility it is to make customers whole is... emergent. And until it emerges and liability has a clear 'home', investments in fraud tooling will remain tentative. And if we are not afraid of the fraud itself, we should be afraid of this delay. Oh.
