Sustainability, innovation and high-performance packaging came together at MeetingPack 2026, held on April 21–22 at the Museu de les Ciències in Valencia, Spain.   Recognized as the benchmark event for trends in barrier materials and packaging, MeetingPack, organized by AINIA and AIMPLAS · Technological Institute of Plastics, brought together key players from across the packaging value chain to explore the challenges and opportunities that the circular economy presents for the industry.   Lecta was there with three concrete answers. 🔹 EraCup Natural Pure — presented by Laura Catalá Varas, Packaging Innovation Specialist: our next-generation SBB solution for paper cups, featuring a plastic-free barrier coating based on naturally occurring plant sugars. Engineered for excellent machinability, sealing performance and premium printability with recyclability built in from the start. 🔹 Metalvac Seal Oxygen Barrier — introduced by Danilo Savari, Flexible Packaging Product Director: our finalist solution in the Flexible Packaging category, delivering outstanding oxygen, water vapour and grease barrier properties while remaining fully recyclable within the standard paper stream.   MeetingPack 2026 once again confirmed the importance of collaboration across the packaging value chain to accelerate innovation and shape the future of sustainable packaging together.
