#YOUTH - Co-Constructing the Future of Learning with Youth 🤝 Last week, we had the pleasure to receive Felipe Paullier Olivera, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs - accompanied by Shihui Liu United Nations Youth Office - for a great Meet & Greet with our youth community and partners ✨ While visiting our campus, the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs Felipe Paullier discussed shared priorities around youth engagement and inclusion of young people in decision-making spaces. 💬 « When we are reshaping and rebuilding how our institutional and educational systems will work, it's a condition to do it with young people. (…) It’s not only about thinking about young people as beneficiaries, but thinking about them as partners. », Felipe Paullier - UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs An amazing opportunity to connect UN leadership with our youth community in France and online over the world! 💬 « Meeting somebody like this really opens a lot of opportunities (…) And it's also seeing that these organizations are willing to listen to young people, and the young people are ready to share what they want to share. (…) We have a long way to go, but it proves that people are willing to listen, and we need to speak up more. », Miya Manu Abraham - youth lead community in our international team at the Learning Planet Institute 👏 Shout out to Aman Shah Kabiri, Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge finalist, to Miya Manu Abraham, Learning Planet Institute student and youth lead community in our international team, and to Thomas Pautras, student at Pôle Léonard de Vinci and Model UN participant, for sharing their thoughts on why its necessary to design learning with students and youth. 🙌 Congrats to all MUN participants - and Pole Leonard de Vinci students - for their special session of Model United Nations (MUN) - an educational simulation of the United Nations designed to train students in international negotiations - which marked the pilot launch of ReModel UN. 👋 Michael Bäcklund —— ☝️ As we help students to develop key 21st-century skills, the Learning Planet Institute creates learning ecosystems and intergenerational collaboration. 👉 Through leadership training and youth-led innovation in education, we guide a new generation of young planetary leaders capable of driving meaningful change within their communities and to foster peaceful, inclusive and sustainable societies.
