🙌 Unlocking the talent & potential of youth across Europe with the Impact Europe’s Youth Alliance Last Wednesday, together with Impact Europe Youth Alliance, we co-hosted on our campus in Paris a cross-sectors event to explore how these collaborations will help unlock the talent and potential of young people and strengthen Europe’s long-terme competitiveness. 💬 “Young people are expected to prove themselves and have all the necessary skills before they’ve even got started!”, Orlane Guérand, Directrice générale de la FAGE (Fédération des Associations Générales Étudiantes) For her part, Anaelle Anzusiu of YMCA Paris highlighted structural problems faced by international students: isolation, financial & housing struggles. “The maturity shown by the young people you have just heard clearly demonstrates that the problem does not lie there (…); it lies in the system within which we operate.”, Carlos Sanvee, Secretary General, World YMCA 🤝 How to best support these young people? This is the Youth Alliance’s mission: building an ecosystem to dismantle systemic barriers. Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Yet. 🤝 Thank you to all the speakers for their essential contributions, which enriched the discussion and helped to shape a vision and a direction for future collaborations.
