Holding spaces equals being held 🫴 What is my role as a facilitator, truly? Just as Ian said, there is a personal and a business answer to it. In business terms: I provide my whole presence to a space. A panel moderation, a strategizing process, a goal, the people. Listening to the group, activating, offering stillness. In personal terms: I provide my whole presence to a moment. Listening inwards, following my impulses, moving forwards, holding still. The biggest magic my work gave to my life? The spaces I hold for others. And the capability to let myself be held, in space, in connection. Touched by the beauty of life. Irritated, frustrated, disgusted, and angered by the riddles of life. Accepting life with all its contradictions. What touches me most every day anew? The subtle vibrations of people, in a space or a moment, well held. Deeply debating over the enormous tasks to "put nature on our balance sheets" or innovate the Swiss military. The tears-filled laughter wine, breathless dances, intimate conversations, shared strawberries, taxi drives, at the House of Beautiful Business. The eyes of my son, touching raindrops on a rose flower in awe. In life and in business: Thank you for all the passionate force for good, the questions and the joy you put into this world.
