Scott Schwefel, CEO Discover Yourself, shared with Kaylee Thomsen why he actively asks his team to push back on him every day. His advice: if you disagree with him, don't back down. Go get two or three other people and gang up on him. Make it a spirited debate. He might be smarter than one person in the room, but he'll never be smarter than four. It's part of a bigger mindset he pushes: think like a CEO, act like an owner. His team sees the company's numbers every month, and profit sharing ties everyone to performance. When people have a real stake in the outcome, "they won't let me" stops being an excuse - there is no "they." The takeaway: ย โข Invite dissent - don't just tolerate it ย โข Transparency only works with real stake in the outcome ย โข "There's no they" - ownership removes excuses ๐ง Listen here: https://lnkd.in/gSZdtU2T ๐บ Watch here: https://lnkd.in/gWxFZuai #LeadershipMatters #ServantLeadership #OwnershipMindset #TheBaileyGroup #DiscoverYourself
