🔬𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗘🧬 𝗔 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 On 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the second edition of our exclusive partnering symposium took place in #BiomedizinZentrumDortmund (BMZ). We were profoundly honored that Dr. Kirsten Bender 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗪𝗜𝗞𝗘/𝗡𝗥𝗪 set the stage for our event, emphasizing the critical importance and value of innovation in translational research and early drug discovery. 💡𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹? ✅ 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗲𝘆𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: We were privileged to hear an insightful keynote from Dr. Irene Papanicolaou from the European Investment Fund (EIF), who detailed EIF's significant and impressive efforts to improve innovation in life sciences across Europe. ✅ 𝗜𝗻-𝗱𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: Participants gained exclusive perspectives from Lead Discovery Center GmbH (LDC) scientists, who showcased breakthrough innovations in drug discovery. ✅ 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁-𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Emerging start-ups from the KHAN Technology Transfer Fund (KHAN)/LDC ecosystem pitched recent developments and progress in their innovative lead projects. ✅ 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲: Discussions explored emerging research, investment opportunities, strategic approaches, and potential future collaborations. ✅ 𝗩𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: A highly engaged group of decision-makers and experts actively pitched new ideas and partnership opportunities. ✅ 𝗙𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: Participants from Pharma, VCs and Biotech engaged in stimulating discussions throughout the day, which concluded with a networking dinner. The event, hosted by KHAN and LDC, focused on initiating critical partnering discussions around the latest innovations and advancements in medical research.  We are incredibly grateful to all 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 who contributed their expertise, insights, and enthusiasm in early drug discovery.
