During the hearing in the India's Got Latent controversy, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the Supreme Court that Samay Raina had started the new season of his show by hanging a 'nimbu-mirchi' at the beginning. The SG submitted that although Raina did not name anyone, the gesture was "quite visible," suggesting an indirect jibe at the ongoing controversy despite his continued non-compliance with the Court's earlier directions. The SG also pointed out that Raina had still not contacted the Cure SMA Foundation or persons suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), despite the undertakings given before the Supreme Court.
