John Hyrcanus I (c. 134-104 BC), son of Simon Thassi (r. 142-134 BC), was a Hasmonean prince and high priest of Judea. His widow was given control of civil authority after his death, and his son Aristobulus I (r. 104-103 BC) was given the role of high priest.
