Helping Interior Designers Deliver Complete Artwork Schemes | Co-Director, NW Pictures. .

Something that came up repeatedly in conversations at the Primary Care Show — and that I think about a lot in my own work. When we're specifying artwork for a dementia care environment, the question of what's on the wall isn't just aesthetic. It's clinical. Familiar local imagery — streets, landmarks, landscapes that residents recognise from their lives — can trigger autobiographical memory. It can reduce agitation. It can support a sense of identity and belonging at a time when so much else feels unfamiliar. I saw this in action at Leverhulme Court in Liverpool l ast month. A scheme built around local docks, local architecture, local scenes. The designer did not just 'make it look nice.' she made it feel like somewhere these residents belong. 📩 [email protected] | warner.pictures . #DementiaDesign #CareHomeDesign #LocalPhotography #ArtAndWellbeing #PersonCentred
