A Canvas on the Floor and an Invitation to Participate: Reiner Heidorn's »The Path In« opened at the LAUDA FabrikGalerie What an inspiring evening! 🎨 Last Wednesday, we celebrated the opening of our third ›Art After Work‹ exhibition of 2026 – and the 169th exhibition overall in the LAUDA FabrikGalerie – with »The Path In«, a focused presentation of 19 large-format oil paintings by Reiner Heidorn. A particularly memorable moment of the evening took place in the basement of the FabrikGalerie: a canvas was laid flat on the floor – mirroring the very way Heidorn creates his works in his own studio. Guests were invited to actively participate, using leaves and branches to add their own marks to the piece. The result was a genuinely collaborative work that allowed visitors to step directly into the artist's creative process – an unusual and deeply engaging way to experience art. Despite the Pentecost holidays, around 60 guests made their way to Lauda-Königshofen, underlining the importance that art and personal encounters continue to hold for our community. LAUDA President & CEO Dr. Gunther Wobser opened the event with a warm address, welcoming the artist – who had traveled from Weilheim in Upper Bavaria – and reflecting on his remarkable artistic journey. He was followed by Christoph Muhr, Director Corporate Communications at LAUDA and responsible for the FabrikGalerie, who led an engaging artist talk with Reiner Heidorn about his practice, his inspirations, and the path that led to this body of work. Heidorn's work has been shown internationally in significant art spaces, including the Giudecca Art District in Venice, the LeiXiang Gallery in Taipei, the Bill Lowe Gallery in Atlanta, as well as in Dubai, São Paulo, and Paris. More recent solo presentations took him to Galerie Benjamin Eck in Munich, the ›Aussenstelle Kunst‹ in Vienna, and the Botanical Garden in Munich. He has also received a studio support scholarship from the Bavarian State Government and participated in international artist-in-residence programs in Italy, most recently in 2025 at ExtrArtis in Sorrento. With his self-developed technique »Dissolutio«, he translates microscopic images of plant cells and freshwater organisms into vibrant, large-format oil paintings composed of thousands of pigment dots. »The Path In« is the third exhibition in the 70th anniversary year of LAUDA and runs until July 23rd, 2026. We warmly invite you to visit and discover Heidorn's vibrant microcosms for yourself. 🎨 More information at https://lnkd.in/gT6ys7kC ›REINER HEIDORN – THE PATH IN‹ Duration of the exhibition: June 3 to July 23, 2026 Opening hours by appointment: Mon to Thu: 9:00 to 14:00 Fri: 9:00 to 12:00 #artafterwork #fabrikgalerie #reinerheidorn #thepathin
