In Mali, irregular migration is not a choice for many young people, it is the only path they can see. Changing this perception requires concrete interventions: vocational training, child protection, community engagement. This is the objective of AVENIR BRILLANT Phase II, a project promoted by Plan International Italia with the support of the Italian Ministry of the Interior. Lattanzio KIBS has been appointed to independently evaluate its effectiveness and impact - a role that demands methodological rigour, contextual knowledge and the ability to work remotely in a high-complexity country. The project tackles irregular migration through three lines of action: economic opportunities for youth, protection of vulnerable children and community awareness. Lattanzio KIBS's contribution goes beyond the technical. A well-conducted evaluation is an accountability tool - towards donors and beneficiary communities alike: it measures what works, identifies what can be improved, and guides future decisions with solid evidence.
