Together with our partners at 50five, we deployed five EDGE systems across the entire site, continuously measuring available power and distributing it evenly across all 130 charging points, without overloading a single grid connection. As Nicky Pieters, Realisation Manager at 50five, puts it: "Based on the complexity we faced here, it's a very unique solution made possible by the EDGE." And it doesn't stop there. Smart charging means more than just load balancing, it opens the door to solar and battery integration, station and card prioritization, and even variable time limits throughout the day. All of this helps operators expand their charging network safely and cost-effectively, even in the face of grid congestion.
