Most fiber laser welding systems operate in the near-infrared spectrum, typically between 900 nm and 1100 nm. Unlike visible light, these laser beams are completely invisible to the human eye. This creates a significant safety risk in laser welding environments. Because the beam cannot be seen, workers may be exposed to direct or reflected laser radiation without any visual warning. Eye injuries can occur before a person even realizes they have been exposed.
