One of my favorite moments from Specialty Food Association's Fancy Food Show was watching Rival Bros Coffee and Partners Coffee share learnings. Both are established in hospitality, but Philly’s Rival Bros is just getting into grocery. Partners Coffee built a loyal following in New York before expanding across the Northeast and now America via Whisha Specialty coffee feels more like a community than a category. Roasters know each other, help each other, and share what they’ve learned. You don’t see that very often in other CPG categories Competition is real, but so is community. Tobin Bickley & Raina Roberts
