βπππ¨π©π π π’π¬ π’π¦π©π¨π¬π¬π’ππ₯π.β Thatβs what many say ... The Scope 3 Action Group #4 proved the opposite, congratulations! First things first, why is Scope 3 such a challenge? β³ It's too complex. Too scattered. Too dependent on suppliers. β "We failed! Scope 3 is a virtually insurmountable challenge." β "Emissions that we save in one of the 15 categories in the supply chain increase enormously in the other." β "Without data from suppliers, we simply can't move forward: we won't achieve decarbonization." There are many reasons to give up and feel overwhelmed by the challenge of reducing emissions, costs, and risks in the supply chain. Our customers and participants of the Scope 3 Action Group know these only too well. β³ BUT: They face them. β³ Not despite these challenges, but precisely because of them. β³ Scope 3 is a business risk β flying blind without direct emissions data from suppliers is a costly estimate. The calculation is incorrect, but more crucially, smart purchasing decisions and development programs cannot be successfully implemented. π₯ That's precisely why we launched the Scope 3 Action Group in 2023. Together with partners such as myclimate, amc Group - Unternehmensberatung fΓΌr Einkauf & SCM, Five Glaciers Consulting, findig GmbH, we have been supporting cohort #4 as a joint Peer Group over the past 4 months. Enabling, accelerating and growing real supply chain action: π± Benchmarking own climate performance & identify hotspots π Gathering supplier-specific data & understanding supply chain maturity π Building actionable Scope 3 measures for climate transition plans Why? Because flying blind on Scope 3 is a business risk! You canβt cut what you canβt measure β or engage whom you don't know. πβ Congrats to this outstanding cohort #4: You're building the foundation for sustainable procurement and supplier collaboration, when it matters most Saskia MΓΌnch Jana SchΓΆnberger Elisa Gasierowski Tim-Frederic van Meegen Torben Tillmann Alexander & Andrea Anissa S. Clemens Buncher Till Poetting-Leistner Louisa Drechsel!! Ps: Our final presentations could not have been framed more meaningful by tropical storms, wind and sunshine, all during one afternoon in Berlin. Climate change is more than real and requires every business to adapt quickly and create new, resilient and impactful business cases with suppliers & partners. Congrats on that! Can't wait to share your successful climate journeys at the next alumni meetup or Climate Transformation Summit 2026 ;) _____________ π£ Ready to get into Scope 3 Action? π Apply for Scope 3 Action Group #5, kicking off in September: https://lnkd.in/ea-2F2h8
