100 years of color, innovation and responsibility 🎉 This year we are celebrating a century of iron oxide pigment production at our Krefeld-Uerdingen site in Germany. Since 1926, we have produced over 15 million tons of Bayferrox and Colortherm pigments, making us a global market leader with an annual capacity of around 300,000 tons. Our durable pigments color building materials, paints, plastics and many everyday products—from asphalt and stadium facades to artificial turf, automotive parts and new applications in electromobility and battery materials. Our success is rooted in the innovative Laux process (1926), which turns an aniline byproduct into high-quality iron oxide pigments—transforming what would otherwise be waste into valuable materials. An early example of circular economy thinking. Together with ongoing innovation, low CO₂ footprints and value-chain-wide emission reductions, this has made LANXESS a pioneer in pigment technology and climate protection. A big thank you to all our colleagues, partners and customers who have been part of this journey.  Here’s to the next chapter of coloring the world more sustainably.🍾
