Cancer affects more than physical health. Emotional and psychological wellbeing is a vital part of the journey too. Healthcare professionals, people affected by cancer and partners from across Lancashire and South Cumbria recently came together to mark the first anniversary of the Macmillan Psychological Health in Cancer Service and highlight the importance of psychological support in cancer care. Since launching last year, the service has helped ensure people living with and beyond cancer can access specialist psychological support when they need it most.
