12-year-old Alex from Leyland has been praised as a young hero by colleagues at 🏥 Royal Preston Hospital after helping her mum when she suddenly became unwell during an appointment. ⚡ Alex immediately knew something wasn’t right and acted fast - calling for help, staying by her mum’s side, and making sure she didn’t injure herself. Staff were incredibly impressed by her calmness and quick judgement, especially as Alex has epilepsy herself. 🏅 To recognise her bravery, the Trust arranged a surprise presentation, with a goody bag and resilience certificate from Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. 💙 Her mum has since made a good recovery, and colleagues say Alex showed maturity far beyond her years.
