On June 10, 2026, the LUMS community came together to honour Founding Pro Chancellor Syed Babar Ali’s 100th birthday and reflect on the University’s 40-year journey. Babar Sahab, Deans, founding and current faculty, staff, and donors came together for a special conversation on the vision, values, and people that laid the foundation of the University. Moderated by Vice Chancellor Dr. Ali Cheema, the panel featured distinguished faculty members from all five schools and reflected on LUMS’ institution-building journey, its impact over four decades, and Babar Sahab’s extraordinary legacy of visionary leadership, enduring values, and unwavering belief in the power of institutions to transform society.
