I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, working with every single person behind Artindo 8.0 felt like winning the lottery. It was my absolute honor to serve as Head of this year’s Artindo, themed “Where Shadow Puppets Come to Life.” From the moment I said yes to leading this event, I carried a vision of wayang kulit dancing across a screen, telling stories rooted in culture, history, and imagination. Last night, that vision came to life in front of over 200 guests, through music, dance, and shared celebration. To my dream team, thank you. To Kandalf Sunjaya & Adinda Asfar thank you for saying yes to being our performance directors. You brought the show to life in ways I never could’ve imagined. To Bapak Desra Percaya thank you for making the journey from London to Belfast, your presence meant the world to us. To Heather Taylor thank you for coordinating Bapak Desra’s visit and bringing university leaders, chancellors, and representatives from across Queen’s. You made the night even more special. From a childhood flower in the Ramayana ballet to leading a production like this, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. This was more than a show. It was a story of community, culture, and courage.
