Building a more responsible supply chain means looking beyond our own operations. It means working closely with suppliers and industry partners, strengthening the standards we expect and improving visibility of where our ingredients and materials come from. Over the past year, our work has focused on: 🌍 Supporting Lactalis Group’s ambition to eliminate deforestation and conversion across key commodities, including soy, palm oil, cocoa, coffee, wood fibre and paper 📄 Strengthening supplier governance through the Lactalis Group Code of Conduct, issued to all new vendors above the defined threshold, all direct suppliers and 54% of indirect suppliers 🤝 Signing a Group-wide agreement with Sedex to support supplier risk and performance disclosure 🌱 Continuing engagement with the Dairy UK Forest Risk Commodities Working Group to support industry action on sustainable sourcing 🍫 Transitioning major dessert SKUs, including products from our colleagues at Lactalis Nestlé Produits Frais Europe, to Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa. These are complex challenges, and progress depends on collaboration across suppliers, farmers, customers and industry partners. By strengthening traceability, improving supplier engagement and aligning with recognised standards, we can keep building a more responsible and transparent supply chain.
