Reducing our impact starts with practical action at the sites where our products are made, and our manufacturing teams play an important role in improving energy efficiency, reducing emissions and finding better ways to manage resources across Lactalis in the UK. In 2025, this included investment in new boilers, and improved condensate systems delivering an achieved reduction of over 1,800t CO2e, alongside continued progress in how we monitor and manage energy use across our sites. Teams have also focused on practical improvements including: ⚙️ Real-time energy tracking to improve visibility and drive efficiency ♨️ Energy audit actions across steam, refrigeration and compressed air systems 🔁 Improved steam condensate and waste heat systems to increase boiler efficiency 🔌 Continued replacement of electric motors with high-efficiency models ❄️ Transitioning refrigeration systems to lower global warming potential operations 💧 Water reductions through improved boiler control and improved automatic plant cleaning regimes. These improvements reflect the work happening behind the scenes every day, led by teams who understand our sites, our processes and where we can keep making progress. By focusing on operational efficiency, resource use and continuous improvement, we can keep reducing our impact while maintaining the quality and care our products require.
