Tony Award-winning sound designer Cody Spencer brought L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound to Dog Day Afternoon at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre . "I remember Cody telling me what he was imagining, and I thought: That's fantastic, you're going to be the first person to put a musical-scale speaker system into a Broadway play," says Production Resource Group Vice President of Audio David Strang. Based on the 1975 Sidney Lumet film, the production was designed to put the audience inside the story. The system was supplied and integrated by PRG, built around a split L-ISA Scene configuration of five A Series arrays over the stage lip, SB18 sub hangs, and ceiling-mounted SB10i for seamless low-frequency coverage under the balcony — all driven by an L-ISA Processor II paired to a DiGiCo SD10T console.
