Global VP Marketing @ ClickUp
For 6 straight weeks, I spent Friday nights and Saturday mornings reading and responding to every AI experiment my team submitted. Last summer, I gave my marketing org a simple mandate: every week, share at least one new AI use case in a public channel. Could save 30 minutes. Could save 30 seconds. Didn't matter. The goal wasn't to see AI brilliance from everyone on day one. It was to create an AI habit across the team. I’ve been training and enablement teams long enough to know… if I didn't show up for this exercise, neither would they. So every submission got a comment from me, a question, a "this is great, have you tried it this way?" A genuine thank you for participating. They needed to see and feel that the skills they were building really mattered to me. Six weeks in, AI usage across the team was up 20x. But the more important thing: the mandate became unnecessary. The habit was formed and AI was part of our team’s DNA. Fast forward 6 months… We now have 230 catalogued AI workflows across 13 teams. 169 live in production. The SEO team went from needing 75 content producers to 8. One person on demand went from running one webinar a month to six. None of that happens with tech alone. It requires a real effort around change management.
