🌱 What does the new EU framework on new genomic techniques (NGTs) mean for KWS? Following yesterday's final vote at the European Parliament, the EU adopted a legal framework for modern breeding approaches such as genome editing. The focus shifts to a two-year implementation phase: detailed requirements will be defined through delegated and implementing acts before the framework becomes applicable. For KWS, this means we are preparing for the next step: integrating additional approaches into our breeding work, alongside our existing methods.
