"Be as local as you can, everywhere — while maintaining global scale."   That was one of many excellent pieces of advice from Rachel Lord, Head of International at BlackRock, during our recent EMEA townhall. With 40 years in global finance, Rachel's insights always resonate deeply with me, and our team across the region benefitted greatly from hearing her valuable perspectives on how business leaders can expand their global footprint.    Her message was clear: in fragmented markets, truly understanding the local environment and local clients is vital to success.
