The first-ever Summer Camp at Khalad Lab just wrapped. And the School Committee showed up to make sure the students knew it mattered. Summer Camp 2026 at KUMA Foundation's Khalad Lab is complete. 20 days of coding, AI, design, and game development. Yesterday, we closed it out together. Students received participation certificates in front of their School Committee. Committee members sat with students, shared encouragement, and spoke into their futures. The room felt like a whole community showing up at once. The day didn't stop at certificates either. Students debated. They explored human and animal cells, liver function, and the respiratory system. Scientific concepts brought to life through models and hands-on demonstrations. Ray Kimble made sure every student left with a chocolate croissant. Simple. Thoughtful. The smiles said everything. This was the first summer camp this school has ever hosted. That's worth sitting with for a moment. Learning isn't only about knowledge. It's about recognition, confidence, and moments students carry with them. Days like this one are exactly that.
