SOLAR PANELS OVER THE GALATASARAY NEF FOOTBALL STADIUM - 1ST IN EUROPE - THE LARGEST IN THE WORLD: Enerjisa Enery and Galatasaray, one of the major Turkish soccer teams , Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex NEF Stadium will generate its own energy with the solar panels to be installed to its roof. Galatasaray and Enerjisa collaborates to achieve a first in Europe. With the solar power plant to be built using the Energy Performance Model, the stadium will generate its own electricity by the SEP over an area of 40,000 square metres. The panels will generate 4,637 MWh electric energy, which is equivalent to the consumption of approximately 2,000 households for a year and 63 % of total annual consumption of the Nef Stadium.
