Insurance industry veteran Sajja Praveen Chowdary, who took over as the Chief Executive Officer and Principal Officer of Policybazaar.com visited Kshema headquarters in Hyderabad on Friday. He was welcomed by our founder Natraj Nukala along with Rajeshnani Dasari, CEO, and Sumanth D.S, Chief Growth Officer. He also met the rest of the leadership team for an extended session. Mr Chowdary, who has worn multiple hats during his long stint at Policybazaar, shared his wisdom accumulated for over 17 years across different functions, roles and verticals which include business management, product & technology management, and business development. He spoke to the leadership about technology and its impact in making insurance accessible and effective for rural India. He appreciated how Kshema is leveraging technology to make a difference to lakhs of farmers across the country by bringing them under insurance protection through industry-first crop insurance solutions. Mr Chowdary, who brought in tech innovations like Self Video Inspection and Zero cost Term insurance which helped scale the retail businesses of Policybazaar, emphasised the role of underwriting in creating insurance products for rural India.
