Innovation does not always have to be radical. Josh Linkner’s piece on “expanding the envelope” really resonated with me because it captures something I strongly believe. We often talk about innovation as though it requires a complete reinvention. A new strategy. A new business model. A completely redesigned event. A bold move that changes everything at once. But that is not how most meaningful innovation happens. Sometimes it is one small step beyond what feels comfortable. A slightly different session format. A better question. A more personalized member communication. A new way to involve participants. One small experiment with AI or technology. One process improved rather than completely rebuilt. Each step teaches us something. Each step expands what we know we can do. And over time, those small improvements can take an association, a meeting, or a community to entirely new heights. You do not always need to push far beyond the edge. Sometimes you just need to move the needle. #TalleyMgmt #AssociationLeadership #Innovation #EventDesign #MemberEngagement #ContinuousImprovement
