If you know me, you would know how I feel about French movies or the entire Nouvelle Vague movement. I used to write about my take on these films, with the constant doubt in my mind whether it’s even worth it? Who am I writing it for? It’s so not in vogue right now. Probably no one will ever read it as well. But recently I posted my take on “Cleo from 5 to 7” on my Instagram and to my utter surprise, Rosalie Varda (producer, screenplay writer also Agnes Varda’s daughter) noticed it, liked, and shared it. Moments like these make me realize maybe I’m on the correct path, but this is not just an infatuation. Moreover, if I keep on writing, it’ll be for the good.
