🏆 World Champions! In 2022, I experienced one of the most memorable moments of my life. Together with my dear friend Nermina, I had the honor of delivering the opening speech at the Powerchair Hockey World Championship in Switzerland. When I had the opportunity to watch the Swiss athletes train up close I was immediately captivated. What I witnessed was elite sport in its purest form: incredible speed, tactical brilliance, spectacular goals, outstanding saves, and an unwavering team spirit. Powerchair Hockey is dynamic, demanding, inclusive, and inspiring. During my speech, I said that the players were not only athletes, but true role models. Four years later, I feel this statement is more true than ever. 2026, the Swiss National Team has achieved something extraordinary: 🥇 Switzerland is World Champion in Powerchair Hockey! My heartfelt congratulations go to the entire team, the coaching staff, the volunteers, families, supporters, and everyone who contributed to this incredible success. And to those players from the Swiss National League whom I had the privilege to meet personally—Noé, Dominik, Dave, and Raphael—I am incredibly proud of you. Your dedication, resilience, passion, and commitment have paid off in the most remarkable way. This victory is about much more than a title. It is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through teamwork, perseverance, inclusion, and belief.
