General Partner at Knauf
As companies grow, complexity grows with them – through different processes, systems, and ways of working. At a certain point, sustainable success depends on harmonising processes and preparing the business for scale. That is what Program Evolution is about. Together with Jörg Kampmeyer, I recently kicked off the next phase at Knauf. Program Evolution connects procurement, supply chain, commercial and finance – harmonising processes, standardising our digital platform and strengthening end-to-end collaboration – supported by SAP Cloud ERP and adjacent business applications. Why do we do that? ➡️ Because we want to be the easiest company to do business with – for our customers and partners. ➡️ Because people work best when complexity is reduced. ➡️ Because good decisions rely on reliable processes, data, and transparency. ➡️ And because we want to build modern workplaces that help us attract and retain the best people. But technology and processes are only part of the work. Progress happens when people understand new ways of working, contribute their expertise and collaborate across functions, regions, and boundaries. For a global company like Knauf, this shared foundation is an important step towards becoming a more connected and better-integrated business – for colleagues, customers, and partners alike. A big thank you to all colleagues contributing to Program Evolution – in particular to the Steering Committee: Kristin Barthel, Dr. Carsten Takac, Dr. Martin Brown, Ingo Zschocke, Régis Humbert, Martin Stürmer, Dr. Max Ruhwinkel, and their teams. Programs of this scale require an enormous amount of expertise, coordination, and commitment behind the scenes. 🙌 Thanks also to Thomas Saueressig, Chief Customer Officer at SAP, for the strong partnership on this journey.
